Optua Care supports people with physical, sensory or learning disabilities and provides high-quality services which enable them to take an active part in the community and work towards a more independent life.
We also aim to increase their confidence, self esteem and ability to make positive choices. Optua's care service is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and Suffolk County Council who are the majority purchasers of our care services.
Optua Care consists of:
Three supported housing schemes
Optua is the managing agent for some of the Housing Associations that own the properties. Each property is fully accessible to wheelchair users and has a 24-hour staff team to provide support and care round the clock.
The supported housing schemes are tenant-led schemes with the tenants taking an active part in the way their home is run and the way they are supported to enable them to live the life they want to.
Optua Care staff are highly dedicated and undertake ongoing training to ensure a high quality of service. Our staff also support tenants who hope to move on to more independent living environments and help them to acquire the skills and confidence they need, and in finding a suitable new home.
Optua follows Suffolk County Council's allocation policy when there is a vacancy in one of our services. Referrals can be made by disabled people, their relatives or representatives, carers, social care services staff, doctors or other health professionals.
