Optua UK has set up a new community-based activity service which aims to give people with an acquired brain injury something positive to do with their day.
'Restart Shropshire' is based at our new premises at Condover, near Shrewsbury, which has recently been altered to make it more accessible for disabled people. However, Restart will NOT be a day centre but a more innovative community-based project that will match clients with a brain injury to others with similar interests or skills. They will then be supported in finding ways to put these to good use in the community. The aim is to provide a range of meaningful activities, many of which will enable clients to get out and about in their local area and gain different skills and experiences, explore opportunities for rehabilitative activity and 'put something back' into their communities.

Our team of support workers will work with Restart clients to enable them to do things they enjoy, that they are good at and which will give them more of a role in their communities.
Optua UK will work in partnership with other organisations in order to meet the needs of clients, whatever these may be. Restart clients will be charged a fee per day. Please call us for more details of the costs.
