In the current financial climate everyone's fundraising activities are more important and more appreciated than ever.
Every year we need to raise at least £175,000 of additional funding to keep our services and activities going. As quite a large local charity running a range of services for disabled people, we do get funding from statutory organisations like local councils but the additional funding is needed to fill the gaps to allow some projects to go ahead.

We've had some fantastic support for fundraising activities such as our Christmas Draw in 2008 which raised £2,000 and the activities of several individuals who've undertaken fundraising activities to help support us. We're also extremely grateful for the support of charitable trusts, parish councils and other local organisations who give us donations every year.
However, we are always looking for more help so we can continue to provide quality services to hundreds of disabled people every year and give them more independence and a better quality of life.
The Fundraising Team at Optua would love to hear from anyone who would like to support us, whether you have any ideas for fundraising events, if you'd like to get sponsored to take part in a fundraising event or if you can help us in any other way.
