Volunteer Trustee

Have you ever thought of becoming a Trustee? Do you have a commitment to the well being of disabled people? If so, our Trustee vacancy may be the ideal opportunity for you.

Optua campaigns for, and works with disabled people across Suffolk providing a range of services throughout the county to enable and empower disabled people. Being a large and fast growing voluntary organisation with a turnover of over £3.5 million a year, we are looking for at least two exceptional people to join our Board with the potential and desire to help us deliver a strategy that will ensure the continued growth and development of the organisation.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people with a personal experience of disability and a broad based knowledge with the ability to help us to build the capacity and effectiveness of Optua's management and governance, as well as a passion for the rights of disabled people.

This is an interesting, enjoyable and worthwhile opportunity that requires a minimum commitment of approximately 12 half-days a year. Reasonable expenses will be paid and training provided where necessary.

Optua welcomes applications from all sections of the community, whether or not you consider yourself to be disabled.
