Disability Showcase Day in Ipswich - July 2010

We'll be holding our 8th Disability Showcase Day on Saturday 24th July in 2010. The event will be bigger and better than ever and be held at Northgate Sports Centre in Ipswich.

Our previous events have been attended by over 700 disabled people in total and the event we're planning for 2010 will include a huge range of sports to try as well as other arts and cultural activities such as dance and theatre workshops.

The sports included so far are cycling, football, athletics, boccia, swimming, sailing (both off site) archery, wheelchair football, darts, judo and powerlifting.

The Showcase Days are part of Optua's Suffolk Disability Sport Academy project which aims to encourage more disabled people to get into sport and become more fit and active. The event in Ipswich is being organised to coincide with the London 2012 Open Weekend and is one not to miss so get it in your 2010 diaries now!
