Athletics
West Suffolk Tigers athletics club is a new disability athletics club based at Bury St Edmunds Leisure Centre. For more information call 01284 757495 or download this poster.
The Orwell Panthers are a successful athletics club for disabled people in the Ipswich area. Please go to their website for more information.
Boccia
Boccia sessions are running every Monday from 5.30pm to 7pm at Gainsborough Sports Centre in Ipswich. For more information contact Cathy Churchyard on 01473 822903.
Golf
Stowmarket Golf Centre have teamed up with Optua to provide a series of golf sessions for disabled people. Monthly Sessions are taking place on the second Tuesday of each month - 11 November and 9 December. These sessions will all cost £8.50. Please contact Optua Leisure for more details. We are also able to provide minibus transport to the venue for an extra £2.50 per session if you book in advance, or you can meet us there.
Mult-i-Sport Suffolk
A brand new multi-sports club for visually impaired people is running in Bury St Edmunds.
The Mult-i-Sport Suffolk sessions are running at Bury St Edmunds Leisure Centre on the first Saturday of every month. Sessions will run from 4pm to 6pm and will cost £2 for members and £3 for non-members. For more information call us on 01473 836770. You can also download a poster about the club here.
Powerlifting
Suffolk Spartans is an inclusive powerlifting club based at East Bergholt Sports Centre, which was set up with support from Optua. Their website can be accessed at www.suffolkspartans.co.uk.
Sitting Volleyball sessions are starting at Great Cornard Sportcentre from Saturday 31 May. Sitting volleyball is a fast and exciting game to play and watch. It is easy, accessible and fun to play. Come along to find out more! Sessions will take place from 10am to 12noon on the last Saturday of every month and the cost is £2 per session. For more information call Optua Leisure on 01473 836770.
