Optua runs the Volunteer Centre Mid Suffolk which acts as a volunteer development agency, recruiting and placing volunteers in a wide range of volunteering roles across the Mid Suffolk area.

The Volunteer Centre does promote volunteering opportunities with Optua but also has hundreds of other opportunities with a wide range of voluntary organisations and charities in the area

Volunteer Centre Mid Suffolk is based at 5 Poplar Hill, Stowmarket, and is open at the following times:

• Monday from 9am to 2pm
• Tuesday from 9am to 2pm
• Wednesday - closed
• On Thursdays we are available to discuss volunteering from 10am to 12 noon at Elmswell Library. Other times until 2pm at the Poplar Hill Office in Stowmarket
• Friday from 9am to 2pm

The Volunteer Centre is funded by Suffolk County Council, Mid Suffolk District Council and Stowmarket Town Council and donations.

The Volunteer Centre has the Volunteering England Quality Mark, which shows the Centre has met the necessary criteria as a volunteer development centre.
